Make This Your Number One Goal

Did you know that the most important goal you can pursue this year is to put God first in your life?

Putting God first is essential to our spiritual growth and living purposeful lives. It’s not merely about setting aside a time for prayer or attending religious services. But this is about embracing a mindset of seeking God’s will. It must become a total lifestyle, not something we do only when it’s convenient.

Just as we make new year’s resolutions for our personal growth, let’s resolve to deepen our relationship with God, to spend time with Him daily in prayer and meditation, and to seek His guidance in every aspect of our lives.

By placing Him at the center of our lives this year, we can trust that He will lead us according to Psalms 32:8 (NLT), which says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.”

By intentionally putting God first in our aspirations, decisions, and actions, we demonstrate our dependence on Him and acknowledge His sovereignty in our lives.

So as we embark on a new journey of growth and limitless possibilities, let us commit to putting God first in all that we do. Before enforcing our own plans and desires, let’s set our hearts on seeking Him daily.

In 2024, let’s purposefully pledge to prioritize God above all else. Remember, when God is first place everything else will fall in place.
