“And this salvation is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the undeserved, gracious gift of God.” – Ephesians 2:8 (AMP)
God wants us to live the abundant life He has designed us to live. The abundant life encompasses a life of victory, freedom, forgiveness, favor, peace, joy, and wholeness in every way.
What a powerful description of the abundant life in Christ! It may sound too good to be true, but it’s not. We must begin to see God as our loving Heavenly Father who desires to bless us beyond our wildest dreams.
Don’t get hung up on the “I don’t deserve it” mentality. That statement reflects a false sense of humility that downplays the finished works of Christ. Our Father doesn’t give us what we deserve; He gives us what Jesus deserves.
Every gift from God is a gift of grace, and we can’t work hard enough to earn it. So, instead of saying, “I don’t deserve God’s favor because I’m so unworthy”, start saying, “Thank You, Father, for Your undeserved favor and grace! I receive it in Jesus’ name because You are worthy!”
Start seeing yourself correctly in Christ!
