The Road to Success

“Don’t get sidetracked; keep your feet from following evil.” – Proverbs 4:27 (NLT)

Did you know that the road to success is not always a straight line, but many times a zigzag?

In other words, if you set a goal and think you are going to go directly from point A to point B, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. With any goal in life, there are always unforeseen obstacles and setbacks we must be prepared and equipped to handle.

Here are 3 things to keep in mind when it comes to accomplishing anything significant:

1. Most things will take longer than you anticipated.

2. Most things will be more difficult than you can imagine.

3. Most things will cost more than you had expected. The cost is not always in dollars and cents.

But in the end, if you are committed and submitted to the process, the sacrifice will be well worth it. So regardless of what the conditions are now, stick with God’s plan for your life. Don’t get sidetracked by the things you see. Stay the course!
