“The weapons we use in our fight are not made by humans. Rather, they are powerful weapons from God.” – 2 Corinthians 10:4 (GWT)

Any attempt to achieve a positive change that leads to our destiny will require overcoming obstacles. Obstacles aren’t fun to deal with. They come to delay our plans and keep us from moving towards the dreams and desires God has placed in our hearts. If we allow them, they will even prevent us from seeing any future possibilities.

The sad thing is that many people will spend a great deal of time trying to overcome obstacles in their own strength. Perhaps they are highly intelligent, logical, or over-analyzers. Yet for certain obstacles—our futile attempts to deal with them in our own strength—only renders us powerless. We must learn to depend on God for the strength and wisdom to overcome.

Obstacles not only remind us of our weaknesses in and of ourselves, but they are also a reminder of God’s strength. He is never in a frenzy by our problems or situations. As we rely on His strength, we’ll find renewed strength to overcome. And in the process of overcoming, we will become better equipped to help others overcome.
