“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” – Romans 12:2

If there is one area of our lives where we tend to struggle the most, it’s in our minds. Why is this a problem? The Bible says as a man thinks in his heart, so is he (Proverbs 23:7).

Social thinkers even warn us that if we think negative thoughts for too long, then we are in danger of acting on those thoughts.

Thoughts drive actions. For example, if a person thinks hateful thoughts long enough, pretty soon he or she will be a person who is full of hate, and will eventually act on that hate.

Taking control of your thought life means that you purposely drive your thoughts in the right direction. If a negative thought comes into your mind, you can choose not to dwell on it.

You can take action by rejecting the negative thought and replacing it with a positive thought. Continue to replay those positive thoughts over and over again until they become part of you. Take charge of your thoughts today!
