What does it mean to be grateful? Thankfully, it doesn’t mean trying to convince ourselves that everything is perfect. It doesn’t mean to deny difficulties, but to approach them from a different perspective. In essence, being grateful is about making a conscious decision to refocus our attention on what truly matters.
Regardless of where you are in your life’s journey, you have so much to be grateful for. Even with all the uncertainty and turmoil in the world today, we are truly blessed. But oftentimes, the constant demands and distractions of life give more room to complaints rather than a heart of gratitude.
The goal of gratitude is to glorify God. So in the midst of your busy schedule, I want to challenge you to express your gratitude to God for all that He has done, and continues to do in your life. While we are truly grateful for the gifts He gives, gratitude glorifies the Giver—God. It helps us to realize that all we have comes from Him.
