There are days when you just need to be reminded that everything is going to be alright.

Things might appear dark or uncertain at the moment, but don’t ever lose hope. Hope is the belief that what is currently seen is not the end of the story, but that something greater is ahead.

Trials are only seasonal—oftentimes a long, difficult season. But if you’ll keep trusting and standing on God’s promise, you will get through this. It may take some time, but in the end, everything will be alright.

Scripture Focus:

”The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all.” – Psalm 34:19 (NIV)

Any architect knows that a solid foundation is essential to any building project. Once the foundation is laid, you can proceed with the rest of the plans.

Likewise, your spiritual foundation is vital to building the kind of life that glorifies God. Following the blueprint of God’s Word will enable you to overcome in every area of your life.

In essence, a foundation based on the Word of God produces a steadfast faith that empowers us to see victory and withstand whatever comes our way.

Scripture Focus:

“Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.” – Matthew 7:24 (NLT)

As Christians, we hear much about the surrendered life. But what exactly does it mean to surrender?

The surrendered life is the act of giving back to God the life He gave you. It’s relinquishing control, rights, power, comfort, or anything that would keep God from having first place in our lives. In essence, it’s totally placing our lives in His hands, to do with us as He pleases.

Jesus lived a surrendered life. He said things like “I seek not my own glory.” “I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things…for I do always those things that please him.”

In other words, Jesus never did anything on His own. He made no moves or spoke no words without being instructed by His Father. He was our perfect example of how we should live a life of surrender.

Scripture Focus:

”For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.” – John 6:38 (NKJV)

Have you ever felt like you were in a war you couldn’t win? There are times in life when we feel helpless to fight the battles we’re facing. But no matter what kind of war you’re in, God has already given you everything you need to win.

The only way you can win this war is when you allow God’s peace to flood your mind. If you are having trouble finding peace in your life, you must first understand the source of the conflict that is troubling you.

The war you are facing may have little to do with your surroundings and more to do with what’s going on within you. It’s not so much about changing the outward circumstances; it’s about the condition of the heart.

Scripture Focus:

”But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind.” – Romans 7:23 (NLT)
