Do you find yourself constantly asking, how can I be used by God? How can I live an effective and productive life? What should be my aim and focus in life?

One thing the Word of God makes very clear is that God made each of us to fulfill a purpose. It is not required that we have a title or human accolades and recognition in order to be effective for the Lord. Our influence doesn’t even have to be limited to one place. God can use us anytime and anywhere if we are just open and available to Him.

Rather than focusing on status and position, our aim and focus should be to please God and make the best use of our time, talents, and treasures for His glory. Doing our best unto the Lord, with whatever we have been entrusted daily is what God requires of us, and that’s what ultimately pleases Him the most!

Scripture Focus:

”Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.”– Colossians 3:23 (NLT)

The decision to start something is relatively easy. But once you’ve started, it’s the decision to keep going that matters most.

Rarely is anything in life achieved by quitting. Since there will always be problems to face, unresolved problems have a way of just following us wherever we go.

Anyone who made any significant achievement in human history did what was necessary, when it was necessary, for as long as necessary. And they endured and overcame adversity along the way.

So, if you are tempted to give up on your God-given dreams, don’t. Resist the urge to quit and determine to keep going. God promises that if you endure through the struggle and press through the pain, your appointed season will come.

Scripture Focus:

“So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.” – Galatians 6:9 (MSG)

One of the greatest realizations you will ever have in life is knowing that you were meant for more.

We were not put on this earth just to take up space, work hard, retire, and then die. God has specifically shaped each of us to make a meaningful, unique contribution in this world.

There is more to life than this vicious cycle of failure and defeat. You were designed for something beyond the ordinary. You were made for victory, excellence, and abundance!

So if you sense that God-given yearning to do more, then it’s time to make your move.

Scripture Focus:

“And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.” – Genesis 12:2

The Bible says that Jesus came not to be served, but to serve. A sign of healthy spiritual growth is the desire to serve the Lord by serving others. True joy is found in serving others and being a blessing.

Since God has personally gifted each of us with a unique combination of passions, skills, and talents, we should prayerfully and purposefully watch throughout the day for opportunities to serve others and demonstrate the love of Christ.

So whether it’s volunteering to serve in your church or local community, I want to encourage you to use your unique God-given talents, live generously with everything you have, and put a smile on someone’s face today!

Scripture Focus:

”Each of you has been blessed with one of God’s many wonderful gifts to be used in the service of others. So use your gift well.”– 1 Peter 4:10 (CEV)
