In God’s eyes, everyone has worth. We may not always feel worthy or deserving, but we can be assured that God loves us with a perfect love.

It’s during times of feeling broken, forsaken, and lacking, that we learn the approval of others isn’t what keeps us going. God’s approval is what we need to achieve true happiness and success in life.

So regardless of what others say or do, our identity rests secure in who God says we are. He says we are His beloved, precious in His sight, and created for His unique purpose.

Scripture Focus:

”Behold what manner of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God. And that is what we are!” – 1 John 3:1 (BSB)

Faith is a word that too often gets thrown around and taken for granted. It’s one of those things that we assume we have, but don’t really know we have until we are forced to put it into action.

The amazing thing about faith is that its powerful substance does not come from this natural world; it comes from hearing the Word of God. Therefore, you don’t have to be defined by your past, or “chained” by your current circumstances.

Whatever you are facing today, you have the power of faith to rise above it!

Scripture Focus:

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” – Romans 10:17

Have you ever thought about why the windshield of a vehicle is bigger than the rearview mirror? Perhaps to remind you that what’s behind you is not nearly as important as what’s before you.

To reach for what’s before you requires vision. Without a vision, the people perish (Proverbs 29:18). As long as you can’t see where you’re going, then next year at this time you will be exactly where you are today.

A clear vision for where you are going is important to reach your destination. But it’s impossible to stay on the journey if you don’t know where you’re going. Once you are clear about the vision, you’ll begin to develop faith for the necessary resources to fulfill it.

I want to encourage you to get a vision for your life. Seek God about your life’s purpose. Set some goals for yourself. Stop living in complacency and start making moves toward your destiny!

Scripture Focus:

“You guide me with your counsel, leading me to a glorious destiny.” – Psalm 73:24 (NLT)

Did you know that your mindset plays a huge role in how you see yourself and the world around you? Your mindset is the single most influencing factor of your life. It’s important because your success and total wellbeing depend on it.

Many people don’t even realize that their own thoughts are holding them back from reaching their full potential. Therefore, the key to an effective mindset is right thinking. What you think can either prevent change from happening or allow new possibilities to blossom.

To be all God has destined you to be requires a mindset shift. A new year cannot make your life better if you are not ready to release old mindsets. In order to create a new vision of your future, you must be willing to let go of any thoughts and beliefs that do not support where you’re headed.

Scripture Focus:

“Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind.” – Romans 12:2 (GNT)
